New Moon: Robert Pattinson says Twilight vampire ruined his music career

NEW Moon heartthrob Robert Pattinson says Twilight has ruined his chances of being a singer. New Moon star Robert Pattinson, who plays Edward Cullen in the Twilight Saga, would love to pursue his music career but thinks his role as a vampire means he would be unsuccessful.

He revealed: "I write songs that's true, I'll record a few tracks as soon as I finish the promotion for the movies, but before I won't do anything,

"I don't want to release an album which has a sticker on it saying, 'By the vampire of Twilight,' on it."

But Rob added if he ever does release his music, it won't be publicised as being his own work.

"If the record is released one day there won't be my name or my picture on the cover. Everyone would be biased. No one would listen to it," he says.

The 23-year-old, who has just finished a whirlwind tour promoting New Moon, always dreamed of working his eay to the top of the charts by playing in bars - but accepts his worldwide has scuppered his plans.

Robert Pattinson said: «Before I was famous I would have loved to perform in bars and pubs. But this isn’t possible anymore.»
