Kanye West featured on fresh new track from 30 Seconds To Mars
November 29, 2009
This is different. 30 Seconds To Mars link up with Kanye West for an alternative type track called "Hurricane" off the upcoming album, This Is War (shouts 2 H.E.R.). The percussion is especially strong right from the bat - an element that defines the track and evokes the feeling that it could be in a movie.
Lyrically is where the record also stands out as there are many powerful, resonating lines with my favorite part coming from Kanye West below.
"The quiet silence defines our misery,
The riot inside keeps trying to visit me,
No matter how hard we try, there's too much history,
Too many bad notes playing in our symphony.."
- Kanye West
"Hurricane" is definitely not a hip hop track (Kanye West was captured in his 808s zone) but it's definitely one I'd give a fresh look if I was you. Down below is a wrap on the Saturday in new audio and video. Kid Sister, Clipse, Joe Budden, Freeway, and XV all come thru with some solid new hip hop cuts as Ne-Yo and Pitbull handle the R&B/pop realm. Videos include some raw concert footage of Lupe Fiasco's surprise appearance at Chris Brown's House of Blues concert in Chicago this past Thanksgiving and Lady Gaga and Kid Cudi on the first stop of their Fame Kills tour (ticket prices are outrageous so I've heard.. check Upcoming Shows for more). Timbaland and Drake are among the other artists featured in new viral treatment as well below. Enjoy!
