Shakira «Confirmed For Ugly Betty»

Shakira is confirmed to be appearing in a new episode of Ugly Betty later this year. According to show creator Silvio Horta, the Latina stunner has always been at the back of their minds as being in the show, even using one of her tracks and mentioning her name several times in the hit comedy.

Now Shakira is set to play herself in an episode entitled «The Bahamas Triangle», where she will save the day during a Mode photo shoot when things start to go wrong.

"We're huge fans of Shakira. We had a very memorable moment in the third episode where Betty has a makeover that goes wrong and she struts down the street to 'Hips Don't Lie'," Horta told People.

"We've mentioned her several times over the course of the series and have always wanted to work with her. She's an enormous Latina icon, as is Betty, and we thought it was a perfect fit."

Shakira's episode is "likely" to air later this year in November.
